Together with their two young children, they’ve created a space where real food, curiosity, and connection grow side by side. What started as a vision for fresh, community-driven dining has evolved into a place where families and friends gather and every meal is made with care.

The other half of The Farmhouse belongs to local Wellington Point Farm owners, Paul and Margo —visionaries behind the Farm’s transformation and long-time stewards of this land. Their original dream was to create a thoughtful, community-focused development that would help sustain the future of the farm while celebrating its rich agricultural roots. The Farmhouse is one piece of that legacy—where fresh produce, education, and hospitality come together on soil that continues to grow with purpose.

For Gordon, being a chef is about more than just cooking—it’s about creating an experience that people genuinely enjoy. At the heart of every dish is his commitment to quality, fresh flavours, and a relaxed kind of hospitality that still holds true to high standards. Trained in Michelin and shaped by years of global kitchen experience, Gordon brings depth to the plate with love and care for his craft. His early days captaining Scotland’s Junior Federation of Chefs and his role as a Queensland Young Tourism Leader reflect a lifelong passion: sharing good food, telling stories through ingredients, and inspiring the next generation to care about where food comes from.

While Gordon leads the Farmhouse, Liz is the steady hand behind the scenes—keeping the wheels turning and the heart of the Farmhouse intact. With a background in early childhood education and a natural gift for creating connection, Liz brings a thoughtful touch to every part of the guest experience, even the parts you don’t see. From operations and storytelling to building community partnerships and raising their two children alongside their journey, Liz is deeply committed to creating a space that feels genuine, grounded, and full of heart.

The Farmhouse wouldn’t be what it is without the passionate, talented team who bring our vision to life every day. From the kitchen to the garden, the floor to the office, each person plays a vital role in creating the warmth, quality, and care our guests have come to love.
Our leadership team reflects the heart of that culture—like Victoria, our restaurant manager, whose love for gardening and hospitality runs deep, and Ben, our head chef, who works closely alongside Gordon in the kitchen. With his extensive experience, steady presence, and shared love for good food and wine, Ben helps carry the rhythm of the kitchen. Together with a broader team of dedicated staff, they help shape an environment where fresh food, heartfelt service, and genuine connection take centre stage.
