Round Three. The Decider. Who will take the crown?

Join us for the grand finale of our Beer vs Wine degustation series for 2025 — an unforgettable evening of flavour, rivalry, and island hospitality turned up a notch.

To close out the year, we’re upping the experience, and returning to Straddie. Your evening begins at St Stradbroke, where owner and sommelier Andy Morrison will welcome you into his island home to begin your tasting journey. From there, wander across the lane to our island home — Straddie Brewing Co — for a behind-the-scenes look at how we craft our beer, and sample it straight from the tanks for the freshest taste possible.

Then, head upstairs to our rooftop for a four-course degustation by acclaimed chef Gordon MacGregor (Wellington Point Farmhouse), using the best seasonal ingredients from the Redlands region.

Each course is paired with two drinks — one beer, one wine — and you decide which wins.

Before every course, Head Brewer Andrew Sydes and Head Sommelier Andy Morrison will go head-to-head, pitching their perfect pairing. After tasting, the crowd votes. Round One ended in a draw. Round Two was a win for Wine. What will Round Three bring?

Your tasting experience starts at 4:00pm, rooftop degustation begins at 5:45pm and concludes around 8:30pm, allowing those returning to the mainland plenty of time to wander down the hill for the last boat home.
